As Doc begins narrating this story he tells about his town and how a little gossip can go a long way. So, to prove a point, he starts a piece of gossip himself. Unfortunately, while he's trying to get two "Over the back fence" sisters talking, someone else overhears him and misinterprets his story. Then, by the time it gets back to Doc, it not only has the whole town up in arms but only one man to blame for it - Doc!
